Q What devices can I read Indireads books on?

Indireads e-books can be read on any smartphone, PC, Mac or tablet. The books require a special software depending on the format that you download.

For PDF files, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free from this link.

For ePub files, you will need iBooks, which is available from the Apple App Store.

For Mobi files, you will need Kindle or a similar software.

Q Do you offer any discounts?

Indireads does offer discounts from time to time. Keep informed of Indireads’ promotional activities by following us on Social Media, or subscribing to our newsletter (links to the right of this page).

Q I want to write a novel for Indireads. How should I go about doing this?

We are always looking for new, innovative writers for Indireads. To be considered, you will need to visit our Aspiring Authors page and complete the form along with the requirements.

Due to the volume of submissions that we receive at Indireads, we do require upto 6 weeks to reply back on any submission.

Please do not send your manuscripts to Indireads without us requesting them. The process is clearly defined on our Aspiring Authors page and must be followed, including formatting requirements, to be considered.

Q How do I become an Indireads subscriber?

Indireads does not offer a subscription plan. Instead, we plan to offer membership in our IndiClub where you will get up to 2 books each month, access to special author podcasts, book releases and promotional activities that are not available to the general public. Indiclub will be launching shortly.

If you are interested in subscribing to our newsletter, you only need to provide your contact information in the subscribe box located in the sidebar.

Q Does Indireads offer books in print?

Indireads, at this time, does not offer print (paperback) books. Our focus is providing electronic copies of e-books that can be taken with readers wherever they wish to go. We do, unlike other e-book publishers, allow you to print out your books, if you wish to have a printed copy.

We will be launching a paperback division in the future, but currently our focus is on the provision of electronic books due to the lower cost and easy portability.

My Account

Q What should I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you only need to click on the link below the login box called “Forgot my password.” A weblink will be emailed to your registered email address, which you can use to reset your password without any problems. If you don’t receive the weblink in your inbox, please check your spam folder to make sure that it has not been moved there by your email service provider.

If you are unable to reset your password via the weblink, please contact social@indireads.com and we will try to assist you.

Q Can I access my account info and order history? 


Yes! By clicking on the “My Account” link at the top of every page on the site, you will be able to view your past orders.

Q Does Indireads store my payment information and how secure is it?

Indireads, at no point, stores any payment information. Since we work with a number of internationally respected payment processors, you are forwarded to their websites for processing of your payments to Indireads based on which payment option you select.

Q What methods of payment do you accept?

Indireads accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit Cards – Visa – Mastercard – American Express – Diners Club – Discover
  • Moneybookers/Skrill for direct transfers from your bank account to Indireads
  • Payza (previously AlertPay)
  • 2Checkout – accepts a wide range of credit cards from any country in the world and in 60+ currencies including INR
  • PayPal

Q Do you charge tax on my book purchase?

Taxes are charged based on the country that you are based. For example, in the United Kingdom, we are required to charge VAT, which is automatically assessed on your purchase based on the billing information of your payment method.

Purchasing

Q How do I select a book I want to buy?

Selecting a book on the Indireads website is very simple. When you browse our bookstore, you just need to click the “Add to Cart” button and it’s added. It’s just that simple.

Q Is it possible for me to see all the books I have placed in my shopping cart?

Yes! If you click on your shopping cart, you will be able to see all the books in your current shopping cart. If you have made previous purchases, you can check that from the “My Account” link at the top of the page.

Q Why does my shopping cart empty?

If you are a registered user, your shopping cart does not empty. The shopping cart will only empty if you have not registered on the Indireads website.

Q How do I actually purchase the books I want to buy?

When you go to your shopping cart, you will see the books that you have added. From this screen, you can select the “Proceed to Checkout” option, which will take you to the payment screen on our website. You will be asked to provide correct billing information, based on the payment method you are using. Once you select the payment method, you will be asked to provide your login information or credit card details.

If your payment is processed, the book will be added to your bookshelf, where you can download it to your computer, mobile device or tablet.

Q If I change my mind about purchasing a book, is it possible for me to edit my order?

Yes! As long as you have not made it to the payment information page, you can edit anything in your order.

Q How will I know if Indireads has received my order?

When you successfully complete your payment information, you will be taken to your bookshelf where you will be able to see the book(s) that you purchased. If the payment has not been successfully processed, you will be given additional information as to how to complete your order.

Q Does Indireads charge sales tax?

Yes. Indireads is legally required to add sales tax or VAT upon checkout to any transactions originating from a country which applies tax on ebook sales. The applicability of sales tax depends on the billing address. The tax rates are determined by the tax authorites in the respective countries.

Return Policy

Q What is your return policy?

Indireads does not have a return policy. Since we are providing you with electronic books, you have the book immediately after purchase.

We do have an exchange policy if the book is corrupted during the download process or the file itself is unreadable. To be eligible for an exchange, you will be required to provide specific information and the file that you downloaded. After checking, we will replace the book with the same title purchased. We will not change the title.

Q How do I return a book?

Once an e-book is purchased, it can not be returned for credit or refund. We will exchange the book for the same title, based on the criteria provided above.

Privacy Policy

Q Can I buy an Indireads book in a bookstore?

No, Indireads books are only available from www.indireads.com. Since we don’t provide paperback copies of our books, we are unable to offer them for sale in bookstores. You also cannot buy our books on Amazon or other reseller websites.

Q How can I download an Indireads book?

You can download your Indireads purchased directly from your bookshelf, which is located in the “My Account” section of the website. You must be logged in to be able to access this section of the website.

Q I don’t have an e-reader device, how can I read an Indireads book?

Yes! You care read an Indireads book on any PC, Mac or laptop. As long as you have a PDF reader, like Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can read your books.

Q I don’t have a credit card, how can I pay for an Indireads book?

Not a problem. You can pay for your book via PayPal or Skrill Moneybookers. Both offer the ability to be able to transfer money from your bank account to your online account, which can be used for purchases on the Indireads website.

Q I don’t read romance but my sister does, can I buy a gift subscription for her?

Indireads plans to introduce gift certificates or coupons that can be used for yourself, or  be given as gifts to your sister, your friends and family shortly. Watch this space for an announcement.

Q How can I be notified when new books are available?

We release new books on a monthly basis. You can get updated in a number of ways:

Subscribe to Indireads newsletter, which is sent to your inbox on a weekly basis with information about upcoming releases, short stories from our authors and special promotional activities.

Become a member of the IndiClub, where you will get up to 2 books a month free, as well as access to special author podcasts, promotional activities and pre-release book purchase opportunities.

Follow us on Facebook, where we regularly promoted and information our readers about new books being released in coming months.

Q Can I pay in my local currency for the books and will I be charged a conversion fee?

You can not pay in your local currency for e-books. Our books are priced in US Dollars, which means that payments are collected in US Dollar only. Your local currency will be converted to US Dollar at the time of purchase and any difference in conversion will be your responsibility.
